I've been researching the possibility of getting into reloading 12 ga on a small scale, and have been looking at MEC 600 Jr. presses. There are descriptions of the 'older' model, and the 'newer' model.Dabster Dave On your info you stated your using charge bar 302 over 118 w/ 29 bushing. That 118 denotes 1 1/8 oz of shot. Plus grey wads????. Use a Bar 302 over 100 (1oz) with #23 bushing, along with 1oz wad.It's an add-on for the 600 jr. If your reloader is recent (last 15 years or so) the primer feeder will bolt right on. If you have a REALLY old 600, you'll need to enlarge the hole in the plate above the priming station to accept the larger diameter hollow tube. It happens when I pull the handle all the way down and then slide the bar to drop the shot. I see no need for the stripper. I have it and don't use it. I have an old (1964) Mec 600 jr that I converted to 2 1/2" 410 and a new 600 jr MK5 for 3" 410. I have loaded a lot of rounds never needed the stripper. My hulls don't hang up at the reprime station. YMMV.
